Make it your own

It's really easy to make a class layout your own, with just a few tweaks and changes. This one is based on the hugs and kisses class.

The obvious change of course is the colour scheme. I love the fresh green and aqua together and it goes so well with the springtime photo of my nephew and niece.
In this layout I replaced the fussy cutting (told you I wasn't fussed on it) and used up the leftover flowers from another project...

...skipped the glitter butterflies and just punched some instead...

... and glittered up a laser cut word instead.

So, you can see, it's really easy to give it your own look!

Tiny Dancer

This was a lucky photo I took at the Museum of Modern Art in Brisbane. Leah stood right under a light and I love how the soft light comes from above. She looks like she's dancing.

(it's a little hard to get a decent photo of a photo)

I used a sketch from Show us your stuff.
I made a cute little paper button from matching paper (all Fancy Pants) and covered the slightly messy edge with ribbon:

The lovely ladies from Kutalicious make these gorgeous little acrylic bird cages. This one is covered from behind with glitter.

And, my favourite butterfly punch from Martha Steward. Can't get enough of this little beauty.

That's all folks!

Moritzburg

Moritzburg is the gorgeous hunting castle of the kings of Saxony, right in the middle of a lake and it's close to where my parents live and where I grew up. I've been there so many times, bike riding, ice-skating, drawing, visiting festivals and the local zoo of native forest animals. Plus, every visitor we ever had got to see it too. This place is very dear to me.

Here is my layout:

I've got to use my new edge punches by Martha Steward. I think I might get addicted to the lace edge. The tree is a laser-cut acrylic tree by Kutalicious, owned by a couple of very sweet local ladies. It comes in various finishes, but I used a clear one and added Crocopaint on the back to give it a bark-like look:

I was going to use some doileys but I think most of my class ladies are doileyed-out and so I opted for a little stamping on vellum. I wanted to get that old-fashioned soft look.

The layout was inspired by a sketch from My Creative Scrapbook.

Class times for this layout are:
Tue Nov.9 at 10am
Thu Nov. 11 at 6pm
Fri Nov. 12 at 10am
