Adventures in Rwanda - a waterfall album

When Joel and 20 other students from his high school went to Rwanda with World Vision last year, he took a lot of photos of the beautiful countryside. It's the land of a thousand hills. I definitely want to scrap these photos, but I have noticed that photos of people are always more interesting to look at than landscapes. Out of respect for the Rwandans, the teens were asked not to take photos at the World Vision villages that they visited, so there aren't a lot of "people photos".

I found the perfect way to include some of the landscapes: a flip out waterfall album!
We're doing this in class next week (July 14-17), so you can learn how to do one too. Each page holds two 3x4" or one 4x6" photo cut in half. That's what I have done.

As you pull the tab, 4 photos are revealed.

I found the inspiration for this mini album here, but I've changed the measurements to suit me.

If you'd like to learn how to make a layout like this, why not come to class? You only need a few papers and I bet you already have heaps of those at home!

- 1 main photo (4x6", landscape)
- 4 extra photos (4x6" landscape) OR 8 photos (3x4" portrait)
- 1 background paper
-  2 patterned papers for the fan
- 2 tags (3x4")
- 3 cardstocks: you will need 2 for the album plus 1 for matting the main photo and fan
- a few brads or other small embellishments

Class times are:
Tue (14/07) 10am
Thur (16/07) 6pm
Fri (17/07) 9:30am
at Scrapulous, 60 Bryants Rd, Shailer Park
Cost: $20
