Imagine - Leah in fairyland

My little Leah is cute as a button and I wanted to make a little fairyland layout for her. We'll be making this in class next week.

I used a punched paper border on the inside to create a frame, which sits a bit above the page (totally inspired by Renee, who does the frilly edge to perfection). I might mount it on a canvas later on, sorry about the ugly grey carpet.

Now, here comes some fairy tale stuff, like mushrooms with fluffy spots (I dug out the old Fiskars embossing plates for the textures)...

...butterflies...

...balloons (inspired by Louise Nelson)...

...and some fairy wings...

...and round it all off with a fluffy title...

I discovered a pot of expandable paint in the cupboard. This stuff is really fun! Hope you can come along and play with me next week.
Thanks for looking, scrappy chicks!

Be my boy a bit longer

I have just realised that my little boy will be a high school kid next year and I might not have that many chances left to see him play at a playground. So here's my wish: Be my boy a bit longer! I've never wanted you to stay small forever but don't hurry to grow up.

We'll be using this layout in class next week and we'll make our own funky spotty overlay! It's fun and easy.

A few spotty swirls:

and a corrugated title:

Thanks for looking! xoxoxo
