Soar

Ready to try out a new tool? I bought a new tool at the expo - a circle edge punch and despite the long name it's really easy to use. You can punch edged circles in 6 different sizes. So of course I had to use it for our next scrap class:

A big paper bow is a real eye catcher:

We're stamping some birds on the background and add some washi tape:

I had a great time at the Brisbane
Quilt & Craft Fair last week with Louise from Art Stamps Australia! Here are a few peeks:

I taught a daily workshop on how to make a glittery snowflake wreath.

Totally messy and glittery, but so much fun!

Getting high on spray glue!

Everyone picked their own colour combination.

Demonstrating how to use Twinkling H2Os at the stand:
I found a tiny little bit of standing room:

2 lovely ladies were very happy with their snowflake wreaths:

Woven background paper

Have you done any paper weaving since kindy?

It's quite easy, good fun and makes an awesome background. Especially with the really plain papers. I've seen weaving like this in one of the latest scrapbooking mags and thought I'd give it a try.

Would you like to create a page like this? Join me in class next week!

This little piggy

Ready for some barnyard scrapping?

It's got Jeans frames and fake wood panels! Would you like to know how to make these from a simple piece of cardstock? In the colour of your choice?? Hold on to your strawhat and come to my class next week!

There is a funny story of Joel when he was little. On his 2nd birthday we took him to a petting zoo and for the longest time he was chasing a little piglet. It escaped him every time, but finally he caught it. Now I expected he would pet it, brush it or carry it around for a little while. But no, he took it to a nearby bucket and dumped the poor piggy in the water. It was so funny. (no pig was hurt)
Even though the photos are from a different event (when he had learned to be nicer to piggies), I wanted to include the funny story and created a hidden pocket under the photo:

Leonie gave me a bag of these mini spools and we'll use one for our title! So cute...

Because I'll be teaching a workshop at the expo Wednesday to Sunday there'll only be a Tuesday morning and Thursday night class next week.

A chance of rain

Who says rainy day photos have to be scrapped in dull grey? I say bring out the colours!

My sisters and I did a photo shoot with the very talented Ulrike Schmitt-Hartmann. It did drizzle a little, but look at the cheerful photo she took! This one is my favorite.

I was inspired by this blog to add the leaf border and I really like it.
Maybe you'd like to join me in class next week and make one too?
